Practical strategies for supporting children with challenging behaviour in the primary classroom

Description:
This twilight session will cover aspects of promoting positive behaviour at a whole school, classroom and individual level. It will look at what effects how we interpret and respond to children’s behaviour, some causes of challenging behaviour and give some practical strategies and resources to use in the classroom.

Outcome:
To help teachers and teaching assistants to develop confidence and skills when faced with children with challenging behaviour and to equip them with some practical strategies which can be used in the classroom.

Audience:
Teachers and teaching assistants working in the primary school classrooms.
