We are a multi-disciplinary service working with children and young people from birth to 25, who are experiencing a range of challenges, including learning, social, emotional, behavioural, and communication based needs.
We work with children and young people in a range of settings, including schools, nurseries and children’s centres, and colleges. The team works collaboratively with parents, families, SENDCOs, teachers, paediatricians, speech and language therapists and others to maximise life opportunities for children and young people.
EPSS is a learning organization. Because of the importance of knowledge and evidence to the practice of our staff, we aim to be a knowledge-based and research-focused organization in order to enhance our expertise for work with children.
We have links with the Universities of East London, East Anglia and Sheffield, and run Intern and Assistant Educational Psychologist programmes aimed at expanding our knowledge base as well as supporting recruitment. Several members of EPSS carry out research and have published research articles.
