Dyslexia and Neurodiversity – Learning Needs: Difficulty or Difference (EPSS Twilight)

An overview of the range of neurodiverse learning needs; first steps to identifying needs in the classroom and ways in which teachers and teaching assistants can shape practice to address them.
The session will take the form of familiarisation with the neurodiversity checklist and some workshop activities to raise awareness of the needs of dyslexic and other learners. Special reference will be made to the co-existence of the range of presenting needs.
An increased understanding of a range of neurodiverse learning needs, their implications for the learner in the classroom, and a continuum of supportive approaches.
Teachers and TAs (all phases) maximum 20 people.
Schools with an EPSS contract/subscription pay £40 for a place.
